Courses

Our courses are structured to support sustained and rigorous study, progressing from foundational introductions to advanced seminars. With particular emphasis on the close reading of texts in Sufi metaphysics and Islamic philosophy, the aim is the cultivation of the inner life through disciplined intellectual engagement.   • Courses in Sufism explore the inner dimensions of Islamic thought and practice, with particular attention to metaphysics, spiritual psychology, and the path of realization. Emphasis is placed on reading, discernment, and spiritual maturity. Courses Include:

  • This area is devoted to spiritual treatises and reflective writings concerned with the inner journey of transformation and encounter. Grounded in the contemporary teachings and writings of Dr. Akram Almajid, these courses draw deeply on classical wisdom traditions while addressing modern spiritual questions through a language of clarity, discipline, and inward responsibility. Themes of renewal, unveiling, freedom, authenticity, and self-knowledge are explored as movements of the self through states of awareness and realization. The emphasis is on lived wisdom articulated through guidance rather than abstraction, integrating insight, discernment, and disciplined inward wayfaring.

Word Academy’s monthly seminars offer focused, in-depth engagement with central questions in Islamic philosophy and spiritual thought.
